Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha, this morning, welcomed the commitment by United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to review the current ban on the importation of catfish in the US. The announcement was made during a joint press conference between President Dr Irfaan Ali and Secretary Pompeo at State House. Exporters of catfish were requited US Food and Safety Inspection Services (FSIS) to provide documentation to verify that their inspection system was equivalent to US standards.
